Il existe certaines exigences pour les solvants organiques. Les solvants organiques doivent avoir une grande solubilit\u00e9 pour le sel de lithium afin de s\u00e9parer les compos\u00e9s ioniques, et une faible viscosit\u00e9 pour un mouvement fluide des ions lithium.  <\/p><p>Elle varie selon les solvants, mais pour avoir une conductivit\u00e9 ionique \u00e9lev\u00e9e, il faut envisager la combinaison du carbonate cyclique avec une solubilit\u00e9 \u00e9lev\u00e9e pour le sel de lithium, et du carbonate en cha\u00eene \u00e0 faible viscosit\u00e9.<\/p><p>Un solvant doit aussi avoir une faible r\u00e9activit\u00e9 chimique. Le lithium r\u00e9agit souvent \u00e0 l\u2019eau, donc le solvant des \u00e9lectrolytes liquides ne devrait pas r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 l\u2019eau. Les additifs cathodes stabilisent la structure cathodique et prot\u00e8gent la surface pour pr\u00e9venir le vieillissement de la batterie, r\u00e9duisant ainsi la surchauffe et la surcharge. Des additifs tels que le carbonate de vinyl\u00e8ne (VC) et le carbonate de fluoro\u00e9thyl\u00e8ne (FEC) sont couramment ajout\u00e9s \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9lectrolyte pour am\u00e9liorer les performances globales des batteries lithium-ion. Le carbonate de vinyl\u00e8ne est largement utilis\u00e9 comme additif \u00e9lectrolytique pour les batteries lithium-ion, o\u00f9 il favorise la formation d\u2019un film insoluble entre l\u2019\u00e9lectrolyte et l\u2019\u00e9lectrode n\u00e9gative : l\u2019interface solide-\u00e9lectrolyte (SEI). Ce film polym\u00e8re permet la conduction ionique, mais emp\u00eache la r\u00e9duction de l\u2019\u00e9lectrolyte au niveau de l\u2019\u00e9lectrode n\u00e9gative (graphite) et contribue de mani\u00e8re significative \u00e0 la stabilit\u00e9 \u00e0 long terme des batteries lithium-ion.    <\/p><p>Les additifs d\u2019anode sont dissous avant un solvant, cr\u00e9ant un film solide dans l\u2019anode pour prolonger la dur\u00e9e de vie, \u00e9viter la surchauffe et maintenir la capacit\u00e9 de la batterie.<\/p><p>Les additifs cathodiques et anodiques doivent \u00eatre bien dissous dans des \u00e9lectrolytes liquides au moyen d\u2019un agitateur bien s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9 et chimiquement stables.
