For our finance organisation we are looking for a Senior Interim Financial Controller who quickly creates an overview, keeps the course and safeguards business continuity.

In this hands-on role you take charge of the financial activities and support the company’s objectives and projects from within the existing financial structure. You provide reliable reporting, budgets and forecasts, monitor cash flow and financing needs, and oversee compliance with regulations and internal agreements. At the same time, you take a fresh look at our compact financial processes: you make them more efficient where needed and come up with concrete improvement proposals that deliver more insight and better financial steering.
As a sparring partner to the Managing Director and the executive team, you connect financial steering with day-to-day practice. In doing so, you work closely with the legal and financial organisation within the group, as well as Sales, Operations and Finance. The role has no formal team responsibility: you work independently and take ownership of financial control.

Your profile:
- A master’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration or equivalent.
- At least five years of experience in Finance, preferably in an industrial or project-driven environment.
- Proven experience with financial control, management reporting and process improvement.
- Thorough knowledge of industrial projects and project sales, such as CAPEX or EPC contracts.
- Strong advisory skills and strong negotiation, communication and collaboration skills.
- A pragmatic attitude: you switch easily between analysis, advice and operational action.
- You handle confidential information with care and communicate fluently in English; other languages are a plus.
Key responsibilities:
- Analyse, improve and streamline financial processes.
- Take charge of the day-to-day financial activities and safeguard their continuity.
- Prepare and present financial overviews, dashboards and management reports.
- Prepare budgets and forecasts, monitor performance and deviations and initiate corrective action.
- Monitor cash flow, treasury activities and financing needs.
- Support project teams with the financial and contractual feasibility of quotations and projects.
- Negotiate and coordinate with banks, auditors and other financial institutions.
- Ensure compliance with laws and regulations, internal controls, corporate governance and the delegation matrix.
- Manage financial and investment risks and further develop appropriate policies.
- Advise the Managing Director and the executive team on financial and contractual matters.
- Propose and implement improvements in financial processes, reporting and tools.
- Contribute actively to the continuous improvement of quality, safety, environment and energy, working in line with the applicable QSEE guidelines.
