How does it work?
Biogas digesters operate under slight overpressure, which makes reliable shaft sealing essential. The Hydro-Lock uses a smart and simple principle: water as a pressure barrier.
A compact reservoir is mounted directly onto the mixer flange and filled with a layer of water. The weight of the water physically prevents biogas from escaping along the rotating shaft. A built-in sensor continuously monitors the water level and triggers an alert when replenishment is needed.
Thanks to the water connection on top of the housing, a clean water supply can easily be connected and kept in place.
